Building your own home steam room can be relatively easy as long as you check the connections carefully.  There are a number of problems that can arise but as long as you take care attaching the generator and making sure everywhere is properly sealed you should be able to do the job.  There are a number of different skills involved such as assembling the room and tiling.  Lights also need to be put in but these are fibre optic and they will have instructions that will take you through the process step by step.  Many companies will install the home steam room when they deliver but if you don’t want to pay you can often find guidelines on their websites.  If you decide that building a home steam room is too big a job, you can cheat and buy a portable home steam room and just plug it in wherever you want.

Using a Home Steam Room

There are certain people who should refrain from using steam rooms at all.  Pregnant women should keep away as the temperature will cause them to get very hot and this can affect their baby.  Children should also keep out as their underdeveloped lungs cannot deal with the steam.  They also do not sweat as much as adults so would struggle to cool down afterwards.  It is best not to stay in your home steam room for more than about 20 minutes.  If you start to feel uncomfortable before then it will be best to come out.  This is meant to make you feel better not worse.

Before you go in make sure you have cleaned it properly.  Just because this is a home steam room it does not mean there will not be bacteria and germs in there.  An infection is still an infection even if you pick it up from a member of your own family.
