Steam Room Generator

Having a steam room at home is becoming more and more popular. The cost is nowhere near what it used to be and as it is possible to fit them yourself there are more people choosing to make this an everyday item rather than a treat when they visit the gym or a hotel. Many parts can be optional but one thing you will have to have is a generator. They are easy to fit and they don’t take up a great deal of room. There are certain conditions when fitting a steam room generator but as long as you follow the instructions it should not be a problem.

Placing a Steam Room Generator

It is not possible to fit a generator outside but other than that as long as you can find somewhere dry that is easily accessible in case there is a need to carry out repairs, you don’t have to worry about where it goes.  The steam room generator can be up to 40 feet away from the steam room and it may be best not to put it in the bathroom.

The type of steam room generator you have will not be as important to the look of the bathroom as the controls and there will be plenty to choose from.  Regardless of whether or not you have a modern or traditional bathroom there will be a generator with controls that will not only fit in your bathroom but will also enhance it.

Helo Steam Room Generator

Helo produces a number of different types of steam room generator that are suitable both in the home and for more traditional locations such as a gym or hotel.  The M Series generator has twin LED readouts on a surface mounted control.  There is no need to worry that your session will be spoiled by a sudden change in temperature as the soft steam function allows there to be continuous humidity.  Depending on the size the price can range from £1799 to £2699 and if you want the controls to be outside the steam room having a remote can cost an extra £85.

Helo also provides a budget steam room generator but there is no need to worry about it not being up to the job.  It is switched on via the pneumatic button fixed inside the shower and is easily switched off once the room is hot enough.  There is a choice of power with 4 different options ranging from 3kw to 7.7kw.  Prices here range from £1199 to 1499.

Choosing the Right Steam Room Generator

The generator that you need for your particular steam room is determined by the size of the room.  Find out the size in cubic feet by finding out length x height x width.  The makeup of the cubicle needs to be considered and a larger generator will be needed for a unit made of stone as it will absorb extra heat.  If it is for a home steam room it will normally need to be a 120v or 240v system.
